Everything families need in one place.
This section mirrors the live site content for applications, sessions, fees, funding, learning support, and practical parent guidance.
Prospectus and waiting list
You can find our prospectus on the link below, alternatively we can e-mail it to you or you can pop in for a copy and take a look around. We don't run an appointments system as we believe you should take us as you find us.
We operate a waiting list and invite you to place your child on the waiting list once they have reached 18 months old. This can be done by completing an application form, you can either call in for one or download it from the application to join link below.
We take children from 2 years old, providing we have a place to offer you and the staffing ratios to accommodate it.
Uniform
We offer an optional uniform for you to purchase which has proven to be popular. The burgundy t-shirts can be purchased for £6.25, sweatshirts for £10.25 and fleeces for £15.25, all have the Richmond pre-school logo on.
We recommend children wear dark coloured leggings or joggers on the bottom. Please ensure all your children's clothing is labelled, especially the preschool logo t-shirt, sweatshirts and fleeces as they are all the same.
If you order from My Name Tags, 10% of your order goes to the pre-school. Visit mynametags.com and enter the school id 11695 on the checkout page.
Tapestry online learning journey
To monitor children's progress we make observations of them in play situations. In order to record these observations and to keep you informed of what your child is doing we use an on-line system called Tapestry. Tapestry enables us to send photos and videos to you of your child engaged in play and taking part in different activities at pre-school.
Lunch club and easy fundraising
Our Lunch Club provides a chance for your child to bridge the morning and afternoon sessions, providing a full day of care for your child. Or simply to provide you with that extra hour of child care, whilst they are enjoying a packed lunch with their peers.
Richmond Preschool are now registered with easyfundraising, which means you can raise FREE donations for us every time you shop online. Over 6,000 shops and sites will donate to us when you use easyfundraising to shop with them - at no extra cost to yourself.

We accept payment in cash, tax-free childcare, voucher schemes, or BACS payments into our bank account. We prefer electronic payments over cash; we also accept card payments.
If you pay for any of your childcare fees, you should consider registering for a Tax Free Childcare account to save yourself 20% on your child's fees.
Funded hours cover early education only. We ask for a voluntary snack contribution of 50p per session to help cover the cost of providing healthy snacks.
Key person
Every child is allocated a key person before they start. This person gets to know the child and family and helps with learning, wellbeing, and communication.
Learning and development
An EYFS guide for parents is available, called the What to Expect When guide. It has been produced to help you to understand what milestones are typically achieved at certain ages and there is also a section on things you can do at home to help your child progress.
When your child starts at our setting we use this guide with you to identify where you think your child sits within the EYFS stages of development in the Prime areas of learning, this will be their baseline.
